Soma

Soma Fabrications started out 9 years ago with a goal to offer professionally crafted affordable steel bicycle frames. This they now do with a comprehensive and beautiful range of Tange Prestige Japanese steel crafted frames. Beauty aside, something else that had us standing back was Soma’s seemingly mandatory dedication to riders of different height. There is a rare and admirable spread of frame sizes here.

Lynskey

We are excited to have added Lynskey to our portfolio of brands, we consider them to be a premium American frame builder offering the flexibility of both stock sizing alongside custom geometry and finishes.  We have a long history with and good knowledge of the Lynskey family as frame builders and are glad to be working with the brand.  We are noticing more and more that our customers are looking to ride something different, something special, maybe carbon isn’t quite right for their needs.  Lynskey, we feel, offers just this in a package that is also very competitively priced

Demon Frameworks

We are pleased to announce our collaboration with Tom Warmerdam, framebuilder and owner of Demon Frameworks. Tom will now be offering the Demon Signature frames exclusively through Mosquito Bikes. It is exciting to be working with such a well respected British framebuilder and to be able to offer Demon customers access to our bikefitting skills and knowledge.

Demon Frameworks was established three years ago with a vision to create the finest steel bicycle frames right here in the UK using the very best of British materials.
“After three years of building made to measure custom frames I am excited to introduce the Signature frame Series and to be working in partnership with Mosquito Bikes in offering these frames.
The new Signature frame series was born out of a desire to create a frame that broke away from the usual conformity of traditional steel frames whilst still retaining the features that give them character and make them so special. Kurt Kinetic Trainers - Free UK Mainland Delivery and Continental Home Trainer Tyre

With the nights drawn in and the temperature dropping, this time of year is a challenge to the most hardened rider. However a couple of sessions a week on an indoor trainer will pay huge dividends come the spring. We use the Kinetic Road Machine in the shop, it's quiet, indestuctable and has a good road feel. The Kinetic Rock and Roll just won 'Best in Test' In Cycling Plus magazine.

Lightweight Wheels

We are really pleased to now be offering our customers  German handcrafted Lightweight wheels,  the benchmark for performance wheelsets. All models are available for order and from September we will have a set of Ventoux wheels for test rides.

The most popular wheel is the Standard . This is the 3rd generation Standard wheel set, featuring a 53mm rim depth and weighing only 1070 grams. Also available in a clincher version as the ‘Standard C’, the clincher wheelset weighs a mere 1135g.

The Obermayer wheel offers the same stiffness as the Standard model but saves more than 100 grams in weight thanks to the extra light construction layer on the rim. The rear wheel is fitted with the top of the range 190 ceramic hub.
The Ventoux wheelset is one for the climbers,  the shallower rim is ideal for the big mountain sportive such as the Marmotte. The Ventoux will offer more comfort without sacrificing acceleration or stiffness. Available with a 190 or 240 DT Swiss hub, the lightest wheelset in the range at 995g.

Professional Bike Fitting at Mosquito

Every bike we sell is fitted to suit you and your riding style. We make comprehensive use of the Sizecycle Fitting System, the majority of our custom builds start with you spending a couple of hours with Roger or Phil on the Sizecycle jig, and then only when we are perfectly happy with your fit do we discuss frame options with you. In this way you can be sure that the bike you buy from Mosquito will

Cyclescheme

Mosquito is a registered participant in the governments 'tax-free bikes' scheme administered by Cyclescheme.
There is a charge of 10% to us on all sales through Cyclescheme however we only charge a nominal 5%  to account for this and the increased administration involved.
